August 27, 2019: Professional Development Breakfast Meeting

Professional Development Session
Presented by KPMG

Topic:  “Treasury – Meeting Today’s Demands and Evolving for the Future”

A corporate treasury group’s primary focus is managing a firm’s liquidity and mitigating operational and financial risk.  Those responsibilities don’t stop at the day-to-day and Treasury should be a key participant during significant transactions.  In many transactions, Treasury is often overlooked during the due diligence process, yet in almost all transactions it is one of the first corporate functions to be stood-up.  In this session we will look at the risk and considerations of Treasury starting with the due diligence process through successful integration and separation activities.   In addition, we will explore various treasury models and consider how emerging technologies, including the current intelligent automation landscape, can help enhance your finance operations.

Speaker: Andrew Hay, Director,  Risk Advisory at KPMG

Andrew Hay is a Director in KPMG’s M&A Advisory Services group with over 30 years of experience.  He works with Treasury operations providing value to achieving strategic business goals of multinational publicly-held companies and midsized privately-held companies.
