FEI NEO President, Bill Brodnick, announces plans for 2020-2021 Program Year

Dear Members,

On behalf of the FEI NEO Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to our 2020-21 program year! Without a doubt, we have all had our challenges over the past few months. I cannot say enough about the dedication of our Strategic Partners and Board as we planned for the 2020-21 program year.

The 2020-21 program year will consist of a mixture of in-person, remote and hybrid events. The “hybrid” format will give members the option to attend a chapter meeting in-person or to join the meeting remotely without compromising the event experience.

As we plan for the coming year, we do so with great forethought, making the health and safety of our members, partners and guests our top priority. I am passionate about FEI and just as passionate about holding safe events. We are developing guidelines and best practices which will be in accordance with guidelines set forth by the state of Ohio and those set forth by the venues.

We are planning for our kickoff event to be an outdoor event at The Shoreby Club on Thursday, September 10, 2020. Masks will be required without exception, you must be seated to be served, and all social distancing, as well as all state, local, and venue rules will be followed. Members will have the option at registration time to register to attend in-person or via streaming. An invitation with event details and registration information will be emailed soon.

I hope we can count on your continued support and participation. We also ask that you continue to support our Strategic Partners who have remained committed to our chapter during this difficult time.

The National Summit this year planned for Chicago is going to be virtual, and additional information can be found at this link https://www.financialexecutives.org/summit. The Summit will be held in Cleveland in 2022! Planning continues for this event with FEI National.

I am thankful for your continued support. I am honored and looking forward to serving our chapter as your president for another year. I welcome any questions, concerns or feedback that you may have.

Kindest regards,
Bill Brodnick
FEI-NEO President

COVID-19 Resources from our Strategic Partners

Greetings:

I hope this message finds you healthy and well.

I know we all are inundated with a variety of additional responsibilities and concerns right now, but I wanted to take a moment to reach out to let you know that FEI NEO is committed to the safety of all of our events. To protect the health of Members, Strategic Partners and guests, we have cancelled our May social and have postponed planning other in-person summer events.  We are planning several virtual networking opportunities and will communicate details in the near future.

In the meantime, we would like to share a list of  relevant COVID-19 resources that we have compiled from our Strategic Partners. Please take a look below.  Feel free to reach out to our Strategic partners, myself, and fellow members as we share challenges and strategies during this difficult period.

Kind regards,

Bill Brodnick
FEI NEO President

Passing of long-time FEI NEO Member

It is with a note of sadness that I let you know that long-time FEI NEO member Arvid Peterson passed away on October 27. Arvid had a warm smile and pleasant way about him and as one member noted, was truly a scholar and a gentleman. The last few years Arvid attended FEI’s spring socials, Indians games and Blossom outings with his son Jim, and many members recalled great conversations with him. We should all be so active at age 95! He will be missed.

Below please find Arvid’s obituary:

There is no service; however, if you wanted to send a card to his son please send to FEI NEO, 1120 Chester Ave, Suite 470, Cleveland, OH 44114 and we will forward.
