February 20, 2018: Chapter Meeting

Keynote Presentation

Keynote Speakers: John Gordon, President & Founder, Ultimate Air Shuttle

John was born and raised in Akron, Ohio where after high school, pursued further education at Kent State University until drafted in 1969. He served with the Navy Seabees for six years and then continued education at Spartan School of Aeronautics, Tulsa, OK, completing his Commercial, Instrument, Multi Engine, Flight Instructor, Instrument Flight Instructor and Multi Engine Flight Instruction Certificates.

John worked with Akron Aviation Company, a Cessna Aircraft Dealership, through spring 1984 and then started Gordon Air Management Corporation, which became Ultimate Jet in 2003.

In 2001, John began operating DO328 Jet aircraft on the Company’s FAR part 135 operating certificate using the “Ultimate Jetcharters” name. The 30 passenger capacity and cost/performance advantages of the Do328 Jet opened an untapped market demand for corporate shuttles, group charters, college sport team movement, casino junkets, oil industry support, and scheduled city pair public charter flights.  As a result, the Company entered a period of growth where revenues grew from $3 million in 2004 to $28.5 million in 2015.

Join us at our February Chapter Meeting where John will share the challenges of business air travel and how Ultimate Air Shuttle is addressing the existing and future needs of business travelers.
