2022-2023 FEI NEO Program Year

Below is a link to the program calendar for the 2022-2023 year. We are excited for this year’s programming, including meetings at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Eaton Center, the Foundry Rowing Club. Our joint meeting with ACG on February 16, 2023 will feature Loretta Mester, President and Chief Executive Officer, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

In April 2023, we will hear from Kristen Warzocha, President & CEO, Greater Cleveland Food Bank (“GCFB”) and the Chief Financial Officer of the GCFB.

We look forward to another great program year!

August 21, 2022: An Evening at Blossom with The Cleveland Orchestra

“Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets” In Concert
The Cleveland Orchestra Blossom Music Festival 2022

Featuring:

The Cleveland Orchestra – Justin Freer, conductor
Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus

Cars fly, trees fight back, and monsters are on the loose in Harry’s second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! This concert features the file in high-definition, on a giant screen, while The Cleveland Orchestra performs John William’s unforgettable score. Relive every magical moment as the music brings life to a story that has enchanted the world.

The evening begins with a picnic in the Knights Grove Pavilion at 5:30pm followed by the performance at 7pm. Guests are welcome!

Tickets include a picnic dinner and drinks at the Knights Grove Pavilion, complimentary parking in lots C/D/E and reserved seating in section 36 of the pavilion.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

Dr. Ethan Karp is an expert in transforming companies and communities. As President and CEO of MAGNET, he has helped hundreds of manufacturing companies grow through technology, innovation, and talent. Dr. Karp is passionate about driving economic prosperity in Northeast Ohio. He’s a committed change-maker and community builder. He serves as Board Chair of Cleveland/Cuyahoga County Workforce Development and as a Director on the boards of the following organizations: American Small Manufacturers Coalition, Cleveland Leadership Center, MidTown Cleveland, Inc., Cleveland Jewish Publication Company, and the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland. Dr. Karp is a recognized thought leader and a frequent national media commentator on the future of manufacturing in America, including a regular column in Forbes. Before joining MAGNET in 2013, he worked with Fortune 500 companies at McKinsey & Co. Dr. Karp received undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and physics from Miami University and a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Harvard University. He currently resides in Cleveland with his wife and three daughters.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: David comes to UH Ventures with more than 30 years of diverse corporate experience, most recently following a successful 15 year career in capital markets and investment
banking, where he led a derivatives’ trading and public finance investment banking platform. David helped establish and build teams and operational platforms across the United States. Prior to this, David spent 8 years in a variety of responsibilities at the sports marketing giant, IMG. He started his career in public accounting with Deloitte in Johannesburg, South Africa. David is an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University’s (CWRU) Weatherhead School of Business in their department of Design & Innovation. David received a Bachelors in Commerce and Business Law from the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa, and an MBA from the CWRU Weatherhead School of Management.
