TOPIC: ESG – Environmental Disclosure Requirements: What Is My Responsibility
SPEAKER: Steve Randall, MBA, Partner, Sikich
Topic summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission is focused on implementing sustainability requirements that will have far reaching impacts, well beyond public listed corporations. While sustainability is important for future generations, the evolving requirements have made effective compliance a challenge for many companies. By adopting a comprehensive approach to risk management, organizations can efficiently meet regulatory obligations with an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program that is centralized, auditable and accurate, as well as provides visibility into third-party performance across the ESG spectrum. Sikich’s Steve Randall will discuss how your role can help provide guidance to ensure audit-ready data for your company’s ESG function.

TOPIC SUMMARY: This presentation will provide an overview of Rockefeller’s life and career, most particularly the role that Cleveland played at the beginning of his career. Importantly, the presentation will focus on the issue of his charitable donations to Cleveland. They were more substantial and varied than many people think. Contrary to popular opinion, a great deal of money derived from Rockefeller and Standard Oil, found its way to Cleveland.

Professional Development Session
TOPIC: How Organizations are Modernizing their Benefits Strategies
SPEAKER: Kyle Anthony, President, Lockton Ohio
TOPIC SUMMARY: The best total rewards strategies enhance a business’ talent strategy to attract and retain the best talent while improving employee engagement. So, if talent strategy is a crucial differentiator in today’s “talent war,” why do so many organizations still operate with an outdated approach?
Set during a time when employers could treat masses of their employees the same – organizations are quickly learning (the hard way) that today’s workforce has differing and evolving needs. To meet the needs of an ever-changing world, organizations are looking at total rewards strategies through an entirely new lens.
In this presentation, we’ll discuss how organizations are modernizing their benefits strategies to consider:
- Traditional bias and inequities in benefit design
- Recognizing unique preferences and needs across five generations in the workforce
- Where residence location and work schedule contribute to gaps in care
- How cultural distinctions, language preference, and educational level must be considered when developing an engagement strategy
- Considerations for review of plan designs and offerings to ensure they are consistent with best practices and legally compliant
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Kyle joined Lockton in 2020 and brings over 25 years of leadership, sales, client management, analytics and underwriting experience in the human capital, employee benefits, total rewards and risk management fields on both the carrier and consultant side. His career started as a consultant with Behnke & Company where he helped grow the boutique firm into a formidable agency in the Midwest. In 2010, Kyle joined a top three global insurance broker to expand their business. Most recently, he served as a director of private equity, national accounts and affinity programs for Oswald Companies. He is a thought leader in his field and a regular panel member, speaker and contributor on a range of industry topics.
